Rise up!

In the name of Allah Most Gracious, Most Merciful

I was watching a program for a charity raising money towards a sustainable change for poverty around the world. What I was most impressed to see was the incredible bodies established to uphold women's and children's rights in India. One, in particular, was the one of a community radio created and run by children for children's right. It's amazing to see that one girl, Regita (let's assume that's her name), could bring about a huge impact to the Indian community. Not only did she fight for the right of children in India, her community radio program also received an award of prestige. Now, you might ask what the big deal is, an award, right? Well, it must have been an esteemed award because BBC received the same award the following year.

This touching story made tears flow (although it's easy to see me cry) and led me to think 'Where are or young Muslims?'  Jamie Durie, the host of the show, stated that the amount of passion put forward into these movements allowed a sustainable change for the future. If Muslims had the same amount of passion for our religion, we should surely succeed in our bidding. Sadly, our young Muslims have gotten to caught up with the latest 'it' things. Though we aren't being physically attacked (like in Palestine), our minds are chronically deteriorating. Why? We're being attacked too, mentally.

So, come on young Muslims. Rise up! We are the answer to the future of Islam. Which, in the promise of Allah, will surpass all others. So, basically, Islam will reach its destination of glory, the question is are you along for the ride?
